2012 was the best year for the construction industry since 2008, according to a report from Fox News. And, they report, 2013 could be even better. According to the recently released report from the Commerce Department, December's residential construction showed an increase over November. Permits were at the highest they've been in more than four years.
Larry Webb, the CEO of The New Home Company said that the typical drop in sales between Thanksgiving and Christmas didn't happen, stating, "we saw very solid traffic and we're anticipating a very good first quarter." He anticipates "a very good first quarter," and expects the demand for homes will continue.
